Recipe from Diana Gale. But i used Thick and Creamy Strawberry Yogurt.

Marble Butter Cake

decided to bake Marble Butter Cake.

Seriously, this is my first time passing baking this cake. 

lunch was the 张家 kind of mee sua, and my kids finished it within 15mins!

probably they were hungry? haha.. but they took milk and a slice of bread at 10am. i do hope that it's bcuz of the yummy food. hahah

pinic at home. allowing them use use their blanket as pinic mat at home (becuz havent wash) heehee

Pandan Chiffon Cake

Baked Pandan Chiffon with my new 23cm Tube Pan. 

Kind of excited as it's my first time trying so big pan. 

i'm glad it turned out well, fluffy and tall 

Brought this box of Pandan Chiffon for our Pinic at Botanic Gardens.

when NUS Orchestra just started playing Star Wars, my cake left 3 slices *sweat* it's either the cake is damn nice or they are simply hungry.. 

very chill huh, can see they super enjoy pinic. Shall do it more often. =)

Neopolitan Chiffon

After cooking, chop chop baked a neopolitan chiffon. Actually i didn't know what to bake for kids' snack box tomorrow. It's my colleague who gave me the idea.. hahah

I added some hearts, but then look so ugly..

Happy Birthday to my Bro in Law - Vanilla Chiffon with Car

bro in law's birthday is on 23 sep, had to bake today cuz my in laws are meeting him tomorrow for dinner.

Tomorrow it's my 7th wedding anniversary! Lol so random. Anyway, my initial plan was to do a chiffon car, but i failed.

Here's my plan for the cake. obviously i did not follow exactly.. hahah

#twenty0nine Happy 7th Wedding Anniversary to us - Rainbow Chiffon

While baking my bff's cake, i had extra chiffon sheets, and so our wedding anniversary wordings are the same white chiffon.

Not very straight though.

Happy Birthday to my BFF Bud Ris

Happy Birthday to my BFF, Charis aka Bud Ris. A bubbly girl whom i met in S.G.T with a packet of 50cents Lemon Barley. Hehe.

Her birthday is actually on 24 Sep, i had to bake earlier just in case i have no time to bake a day before and whenever i rush, the chiffon tends to fail.. So, play safe, i thought i better bake it today.

Instead of the usual ombre, i decided to do something different :) sorry my layering still not straight. I super love Susanne's bakes.. the above cake is based on 18cm rainbow cake recipe. You may want to give it a try by clicking on the right side of my page, look for rainbow.

18 Sep 2016 - a surprise meet up arranged with her hubby, Jimmy to meet at Suntec City. I'm glad that it was well received and feedback of the cake taste was good :)

my love, my bff my bud ris my everything. she is the one, the one who i dun meet often and yet we are always on the same frequency. This is real friendship. 

At night she sent me the cut out of the cake. 

Happy 21st Birthday Nicholas

The Teo Family celebrated Nicholas' advanced 21st Birthday on 12 Sep 2016 at IMM's Hai Di Lao.
I was cracking my head hard on what to bake for him, then i came across Susanne's bake here. It took me 7hrs on Sunday to bake the bottom rainbow and top blue vanilla chiffon, plus the white wordings.
I only bake the semi-circle rainbow on top most yesterday morning.

first line up the colours properly, cuz it's my first time baking a 9" chiffon cake. 

 below are the steps on how to layer each colour, all learnt from Susanne's book.

by blue colour my meringue collapsed, hence the wavy look.. haha

now baking the upper tier, got some leftover batter, trying on cupcakes.

lastly, the semi-circle rainbow. as i do not have the exact 15cm tube pan, i tried using my smallest tube pan to make the above. made 2 cuz i have leftovers.
