Happy Birthday to Pauline

We are exploring personalised greeting cards!
But first, let's have our signature fudgy brownie. It's gooey and rich in chocolate.
I'm loving the brownie cracks, isn't it beautiful?

Happy Family

Alice in Wonderland Theme

White Rabbit - Strawberry Jello Cheesecake

King of Heart - Moist Chocolate Cupcake

Alice Over the Rainbow - Skittles (bought)

Queen of Heart - Valrhona Fudge Chocolate Brownie

March Hare - Chocolate Chip Cookies with Nuts

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - Chocolate Eclairs (ordered)

Chershire Tail - Marshmallow with Candy Melts
This item was done by my hubby, must give credit to him. =)
As we were unsure of how to handle the candy melts, the whole of first batch was thrown away. Candy melts is very sensitive to heat and MUST avoid steam / water while melting.
Hubby did the melting and coated the pink layer until 4am. hehehe Thanks dear. He even cut out Styrofoam board to hold the marshmallows for overnight drying.

The next morning, he melted the lavender candy melts, this round he piped one of the "Cheshire Tail". The rest were done by me. hehehe

Rolex Chiffon Cake

my little brother had wished for a rolex watch, the sister here cannot afford, so decided to bake a customised rolex cake for him! haha. I had a fun time planning the design (with the help and coordination of his girlfriend, Magdalene) She gave me the watch design he likes and i went on to customise that the date is 14 (his actual birthday is on 14 September) and time is his time of birth. hehe.

Thank you Mum, Elder brother, Auntie Fion and Magdalene for all the coordination and your time in making this party a surprise for Nicholas. =)

my super last minute planned dessert table:
simple goodie bag (nougat, minion snacks, skittles, wang wang rice cracker, oreo)

Third attempt for Emily's daughter, Faith, and since i decided to name it Blossom.

Sorry bad lighting.

Day 3: forming the flowers

Day 1, had to bake the base first. The above base is made from Valrhona Cocoa Powder, 17cm tube pan.

Emoji Chiffon 9"

Baked this 9" chiffon in a tube pan, needless to say. Tried to cover up the hole in the middle, however there is slight colour differentiation. Nevertheless, i tried my best, hope the birthday boy likes it.

The mummy sent me a picture of her request above.
Using fondant seems very pretty, every part is so smooth. But honestly speaking, i'm not a fan of fondant. I rather have a chiffon designed cake as it is healthier.

Proceeded to do the planning on the parts to bake.

I don't deny baking chiffon is tough, and is really tough. Especially when you need to do such customised cake. It has to be naked looking (no browning) and planning (which part to bake + how much) in order to minimise wastage. Lastly is the cutting and assembly part.

Happy Birthday, Leo!

Thanks mummy for sending me a picture of Leo with the cake:

Minion Chiffon Cake

Made a Minion Theme Birthday Party for my son. The cake took me 3 days to bake! I started with the lower tier, which is 23cm (9") it was really tough to do naked look - (no browning by the sides). Then followed by the upper tier, which is 7" (17~18cm). The final day was doing the chiffon sheet, cutting and assembling them together. Because this cake was too tall to be in normal cake box, i put it in a super tall box and cling wrapped up tightly. And because the box was too tall to fit into my fridge (with all the party stuff), the minion had a chance to sleep in my aircon room. LOL!

Some photos of the party:

My DIY dessert table which was prepared a week in advance, i will brief you through. hehe.
