Dinner: 1 Soup and 2 Dishes

Old Cucumber Soup with Soft Pork Bone

Steamed Hong Kong Style Pork Ribs

It's Vesak Day today. We brought Jays to Goat Farm and Frog Farm.


Queuing patiently to make payment for the hay. This boy so excited to see the $5 note (cuz it's green) haha.

Making payment for the 2 packets of hay.


Tada! we did it. =)

Excited yet nervous to feed the goats.


 Next stop, Frog farm.
Feeding frogs is easier. Hehe

3 Dishes Dinner

Weekend Breakfast


Breakfast made entirely by Jays with minimal supervisor from me. =)
Happy to show off the Snoopy Pyrex i have gotten from NTUC points.

I have gotten 4 mugs and a jar so far. Still considering the corning ware.

3 Dishes 1 Soup Dinner


Steam Egg Tofu with Minced Pork and Prawn
But i changed it a little. I marinated the minced pork and prawn with oyster sauce, hua tiao jiu, corn starch.

ABC Soup
1.5L water
250g soft pork bone (for soup)
2 large carrots
4 small potatoes
5 red dates
handful wolfberries
2 dried scallops
using the soup function (roughly 2hrs)

Steam egg
Make sure you sift the egg a few rounds before steaming, this will get you custard-like steam egg. =)

Grilled Chicken Wings
Pre-marinated wings from Cold Storage.

It's been some times since we last cooked 3 dishes and 1 soup kind of dinner. Jays finished them off within 20mins! So heartwarming to see them enjoying the food we prepared.

After trying some sachet claypot rice marinate, i still feel Teo Family's marinate is the best. hehe!
Thanks mum for teaching me how to cook this dish. I shall go get a real claypot and try the next round.

Pork Knuckle Bee Hoon



I shall write the recipe another day. Was trying out how to fry the kind of bee hoon my parents did. Overall pass, but different taste from theirs.. hahah 
And the best thing was, i bought the wrong can of pork knuckle. HAHA!

After a 4 Days 3 Nights mother's day trip to BKK, i'm back to my daily routine. Work, school work, cook, sleep and repeat.. Yawnz. #lifeofFTWM

Ham and Mushroom Cream Penne


Our home made Ham and Mushroom Cream Penne. Recipe can be found here. We actually adjusted the portion as the recipe is too much for 4 of us. 

So our labour day went like this:


Then brought Jays to Kids Stop, as it was raining heavily and since we have the membership.  (not advertising. This is my personally blog.

Waiting patiently to exchange for ticket with the membership. 

First thing they played was this. *do remember to remove shoes and put on socks for this*
